Role description
Data Cleansing Analyst (Contract)
Up to £300/day (Outside IR35)
Hybrid (3 days/week in London)
4-month contract
Immediate start
We're looking for a hands-on Data Cleansing Analyst to support a major data migration programme within a fast-paced commercial operations environment.
This is a high-impact, delivery-focused role working with large, complex catalogue and metadata datasets that must be cleaned, validated, and prepared for migration into a new enterprise system.
Strong Excel and data cleansing capability is essential; this role is not suitable for reporting or dashboard-focused analysts.
What you'll be doing
• Cleanse, standardise, and validate large-scale datasets
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of catalogue and metadata across systems
• Support data migration, QA, and UAT testing activities
• Identify and resolve data inconsistencies across multiple platforms
• Produce exception reports and support data gap analysis
• Assist with go-live readiness and post-implementation support
• This is a delivery-focused role where accuracy and speed directly impact system readiness.
What we're looking for
• Experience in data cleansing, data quality, or data operations roles
• Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas and large datasets essential)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Experience working with high-volume, structured datasets
• Ability to work independently on structured data tasks with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced, task-driven environment
• Strong communication skills across multiple stakeholders
Nice to have
• Experience in media, entertainment, or content/catalogue environments
• Exposure to data migration, system implementation, or transformation projects
• Familiarity with CRM or enterprise data platforms (e.g. Salesforce or similar large-scale systems)
Why this role?
• Immediate-start, high-urgency programme
• Long-established dataset (~25 years of legacy data)
• Real impact role where data quality directly drives system success
• Clear direction, focused delivery environment, minimal bureaucracy
Interested?
If you're a detail-driven Excel-heavy data contractor who enjoys working with complex datasets and delivering clean, structured outputs, we'd like to hear from you.
