Data Collection Quality Control Specialist/emergency Medical Services (EMS) Data Manager

Position: Data Collection Quality Control Specialist/Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Data Manager Location: Providence, RI Duration: 6 Months Required Skills/Knowledge: • Knowledge of public health practice, community engagement principles, social and economic determinants of health, and principles of health and racial equity. • Knowledge of and experience in public health programming and policy at the local and national levels in relation to data management. • Ability to manage time and multiple simultaneous tasks effectively and meet multiple competing deadlines. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, associates, subordinates, public groups, and private and public agencies. • Demonstrated ability to work with people and groups from a wide variety of backgrounds and across differences in race, culture, nationality, age, gender, sexual orientation, values, beliefs, learning styles, and literacy levels. • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as public speaking skills. Preferred Skills/knowledge (not required): · EMS background or licensure as an EMS practitioner · Familiarity with EMS-specific data systems such as ImageTrend LLC, Biospatial, NEMSIS, and NERIS. Education: • A master’s degree in public health, health administration, mathematics, economics, information management, statistics, or a closely related field. • A bachelor’s degree in public health, health administration, mathematics, economics, information management, statistics, or a closely related field, and experience working in a data management or analyst position.
