Role description
Position: Data Collection Quality Control Specialist/Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Data Manager
Location: Providence, RI
Duration: 6 Months
Required Skills/Knowledge:
β’ Knowledge of public health practice, community engagement principles, social and economic determinants of health, and principles of health and racial equity.
β’ Knowledge of and experience in public health programming and policy at the local and national levels in relation to data management.
β’ Ability to manage time and multiple simultaneous tasks effectively and meet multiple competing deadlines.
β’ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
β’ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, associates, subordinates, public groups, and private and public agencies.
β’ Demonstrated ability to work with people and groups from a wide variety of backgrounds and across differences in race, culture, nationality, age, gender, sexual orientation, values, beliefs, learning styles, and literacy levels.
β’ Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
β’ Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as public speaking skills.
Preferred Skills/knowledge (not required):
Β· EMS background or licensure as an EMS practitioner
Β· Familiarity with EMS-specific data systems such as ImageTrend LLC, Biospatial, NEMSIS, and NERIS.
Education:
β’ A masterβs degree in public health, health administration, mathematics, economics, information management, statistics, or a closely related field.
β’ A bachelorβs degree in public health, health administration, mathematics, economics, information management, statistics, or a closely related field, and experience working in a data management or analyst position.
