Role description
The Role Support data‑driven alumni engagement at a world‑leading business school 12 month Maternity Leave contract London Business School is seeking a Data Coordinator to play a key role in maintaining the quality, accuracy and integrity of data that underpins alumni engagement and fundraising activity. This role sits within the Advancement Data Team and focuses on supporting the effective use of the School’s alumni database (Raiser’s Edge) to enable meaningful engagement with alumni and supporters worldwide. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their data career who enjoys working with systems, processes and stakeholders, and who is keen to develop their skills in a collaborative, purpose‑driven environment. You will support the day‑to‑day maintenance and accuracy of the Advancement alumni database (Raiser’s Edge). Working closely with the Database Manager and the wider Data Team, you will help ensure data is reliable, compliant and fit for purpose, supporting alumni engagement, fundraising and reporting activity. You will also play a key role in supporting data updates, data cleaning and contactability campaigns, while developing your technical skills and understanding of data governance and privacy. Main Responsibilities • Maintain and update the Advancement alumni database (Raiser’s Edge), ensuring high levels of data accuracy and integrity. • Support data flows between systems, including Raiser’s Edge, SchoolDIB and MyLBS. • Assist with data updates, data cleansing and contactability campaigns to support alumni engagement. • Run data extracts and reports to support fundraising and engagement activity. • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding data requests and updates. • Support GDPR compliance and data privacy practices in line with School policies. • Work closely with the Advancement Data Team to maximise the effective use of data systems. • Contribute to continuous improvement of data processes and documentation. Who we are looking for • Experience working with databases, systems or data‑related processes. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. • Good communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders. • Sound working knowledge of standard IT packages, systems and databases (e.g. MS 365). • Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively. • A proactive, self‑starter approach and willingness to learn. • Strong team‑working skills and a collaborative mindset. • Experience working with CRM or alumni/fundraising databases (e.g. Raiser’s Edge). (Desirable) • Basic SQL knowledge or an interest in developing data querying skills. (Desirable) • Awareness of GDPR and data protection principles.
