New Exciting opportunity for the role of the Data Designer
Location: London (3 Days from office)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
The Role
The Data Designer role supports the business by deciding what data should be ingested from source systems into the Enterprise Data Warehouse, and how this data should be transformed to make it suitable for consumption in reporting or other downstream systems.
The role is accountable for: analysing and documenting source systemsβ data as needed to meet the business requirements; determining the method and frequency for ingesting the data into the data warehouse; defining and documenting any data mapping, harmonisation, derivations, calculations, or other transformations required to make the data easy to use by the business; ensuring that the target data model is coherent and works in conjunction with the other data models in the data warehouse.
Your Profile
Essential skills/experience:
Β· 5-7 years of experience as a data modeller/data architect, with proven experience in modelling high-complexity data
Β· Data quality management experience
Β· Data lifecycle management experience
Β· Experience in working with non-tabular data and event-based data processing
Β· Advanced-level SQL querying
Β· Strong attention to detail
Β· A collaborative approach to work
Desirable skills/experience:
β’ Experience of non-tabular data and event-based data processing.
β’ Understanding of data lifecycle management.
β’ Experience of working with data in Databricks.
