Join a Leading Semiconductor Company as a Data Engineer! Are you passionate about turning data into actionable insights and building tools that empower engineering teams? We're looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join a small, agile team supporting Engineering Operations. You’ll take ownership of a JavaScript-based internal tool, enhance reporting capabilities, and help drive data-informed decisions across the business. Contract Details • Contract Length: 12 months (with visibility to extend) • Daily Rate: £350 per day (inside IR35) • Location: Cambridge (twice per week on-site) • Start Date: ASAP Key Responsibilities • Build and optimise data queries and scripts for operational insights. • Maintain and enhance dashboards, reports, and data interfaces. • Collaborate with engineering leaders to deliver accurate and timely data. • Analyse trends and identify opportunities for process improvements. • Productise and improve a JavaScript-based internal reporting tool. • Develop lightweight data applications to support analytics. • Support data accessibility through Python-based solutions. Key Requirements • Strong programming skills in Python and JavaScript. • Solid experience with SQL and database testing. • Familiarity with data warehousing and ingestion (e.g., Snowflake, ETL/ELT). • Proven ability to translate data into business insights. • Clear communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. • Experience with data visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau (nice to have).
