Location: Mount Laurel, NJ
Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid – minimum 2 days in office per week

Pay Rate: $75.00–$85.00 / Hour (USD)
Shift / Schedule: Monday – Friday, core business hours, 40 hours per week
Travel Requirements: Not required

Job Summary
This is a new position within a 16-person team focused on AI-related projects including collections analytics and supporting other data initiatives. The role offers an opportunity for long-term engagement with a top 10 North American bank known for great work culture. You will join a collaborative team environment where you will contribute technical ideas and help drive innovation in data engineering. The position requires hitting timelines and deliverables while demonstrating a positive attitude and strong cultural fit. You will work with internal stakeholders and have access to customer data in a data workspace environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain back-end data solutions within a data workspace using Python and PySpark
• Leverage AI and machine learning capabilities, including CoPilot and VIBE coding tools, to enhance data engineering workflows
• Work with legacy tools and technologies including Oracle, SQL Server, and Mainframe systems
• Contribute technical ideas and collaborate with team members on collections analytics and related AI projects
• Support additional data projects as needed within the organization
• Participate in approximately 2 hours of meetings per day on average
• Engage with internal stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
Required Skills
• 10 years of back-end development experience within a data workspace
• Strong expertise using Python and PySpark for development
• Strong AI and machine learning skills, including proficiency with CoPilot and VIBE coding
• 10 years of banking or financial services experience
• Exposure to legacy tools and technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, Mainframe, etc.)
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Collaborative mindset with ability to contribute technical ideas
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
• AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science certifications
Education Requirements
• Minimum graduate degree required
Required Experience
• 10 years of back-end development experience in a data workspace
• 10 years of banking or financial services industry experience
