Job Tittle: Data Engineer Duration: 06-month contract to hire Location: 100% Remote β€’ β€’ OPT & H1B (C2C) candidates are kindly requested not to apply β€’ β€’ Job Description: β€’ We are seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and modern cloud-based data solutions. β€’ The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), HVR/Fivetran, DBT Labs, and Snowflake, and will play a key role in enabling reliable data integration, transformation, and analytics across the organization. Job Summary/Primary Purpose: β€’ To develop, maintain, test and debug software and data integration solutions to meet generally defined requirements in both traditional and cloud-based environments utilizing software development languages, modern data platforms, and tools such as PL/SQL, Oracle, .Net, Microsoft SQL, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, and related technologies. β€’ To formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding for the purpose of developing or modifying moderately complex information systems and data pipelines. To prepare detailed specifications from which programs and data processes will be written. To design, build, test, debug, document and maintain scalable applications and data solutions, including ETL/ELT processes, leveraging modern cloud data platforms. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF). β€’ Implement and manage data ingestion processes using HVR and/or Fivetran. β€’ Develop and optimize data transformation models using DBT (Data Build Tool). β€’ Build, maintain, and optimize data warehouse solutions in Snowflake. β€’ Monitor data pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data quality and reliability. β€’ Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams to understand data requirements. β€’ Implement best practices for data governance, security, and performance optimization. β€’ Create and maintain technical documentation for data workflows and architectures. β€’ Support data validation, testing, and deployment activities. Required Qualifications: β€’ 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role. β€’ Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF). β€’ Hands-on experience with HVR and/or Fivetran for data replication and ingestion. β€’ Experience developing data models and transformations using DBT Labs. β€’ Strong knowledge of Snowflake data warehouse architecture and performance tuning. β€’ Proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts. β€’ Understanding of ETL/ELT design patterns and data integration best practices. β€’ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. β€’ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in a remote work environment. Preferred Qualifications: β€’ Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure. β€’ Familiarity with CI/CD processes and version control systems (e.g., Git). β€’ Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and monitoring frameworks. β€’ Experience supporting analytics and reporting workloads.
