Position: Data Engineer
Compensation: $70 - $82 /hour
Location: Overland Park, Kansas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Data Engineer to join their team!
Join a dynamic team as a Senior Data Engineer, where you'll design and build scalable data solutions within a Microsoft Fabric environment. This is a hands-on and strategic role, perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative, supportive team.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
β’ Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure tools
β’ Design scalable data solutions across Lakehouse and SQL-based environments
β’ Write and optimize complex SQL (stored procedures, queries, performance tuning)
β’ Implement data quality checks and validation within pipelines
β’ Partner with analytics and business teams to translate needs into technical solutions
β’ Apply modern data modeling approaches (e.g., Medallion-style architectures)
β’ Support CI/CD and deployment processes using Azure DevOps and Git
Required Qualifications & Experience:
β’ 5β7+ years in data engineering or similar role
β’ Strong SQL Server and T-SQL experience
β’ Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Factory
β’ Proficiency in Python (PySpark preferred)
β’ Understanding of modern cloud data architecture
β’ Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
β’ Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools
β’ Familiarity with modern data architecture patterns (Medallion, Data Vault, etc.)
β’ Azure certifications or DevOps experience
