Overview We are seeking Data Engineers to support a large-scale data platform transformation initiative. This role focuses on building and improving modern data infrastructure in a cloud-based environment. The work involves rethinking and enhancing existing data systems, rather than maintaining legacy processes. This is an opportunity to contribute to a growing data engineering function, working on foundational systems that will support future analytics and advanced data capabilities. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) • Work with distributed data processing frameworks to handle large datasets • Transform and optimize data from various transactional sources • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven initiatives • Contribute to data platform improvements and modernization efforts • Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability • (Senior level) Provide guidance on architecture, best practices, and technical direction Technology Environment • Cloud platform (e.g., Microsoft Azure) • Data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Delta Lake) • Distributed processing (e.g., Apache Spark) • Programming languages (e.g., Python, PySpark) • SQL-based data sources • ETL/ELT frameworks Open Roles Senior Data Engineer • Lead design and architecture of data solutions • Support infrastructure and automation initiatives • Establish best practices and technical standards • Mentor junior team members Mid / Junior Data Engineer • Build and support data pipelines using Python and SQL • Work with structured and unstructured data • Collaborate with senior engineers on platform development • Gain exposure to distributed and real-time data systems Required Qualifications • Experience with modern data platforms and cloud environments • Strong skills in Python and SQL • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines • Familiarity with distributed data processing concepts • Ability to work in a dynamic, evolving environment Preferred Qualifications • Experience with tools such as Databricks, Spark, or similar platforms • Exposure to analytics engineering or data modeling tools • Understanding of data governance, quality, or security practices • Experience working on data transformation or modernization efforts What Makes a Strong Candidate • Hands-on experience building and improving data systems • Ability to work with limited structure and evolving requirements • Strong problem-solving and communication skills • Proactive mindset with a focus on ownership and impact
