Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Data Engineer to fill an open position with one of our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking team dedicated to modernizing financial data platforms within the Financial Crimes and Commercial Payments space. This fully onsite role offers the chance to work with industry-leading technologies like Snowflake and DBT, while engaging in critical initiatives to improve data quality and movement across complex enterprise systems. Ideal candidates are proactive, collaborative, and passionate about building scalable data solutions.
In this role, the Data Engineer will:
β’ Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data management and ETL systems using Datastage, Snowflake, and DBT.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and ensure data solutions align with business needs.
β’ Support the modernization of AML and upstream Commercial Payments data processes, ensuring quality and compliance.
β’ Document data movement processes, perform data mapping, and support end-to-end testing.
The Ideal Candidate:
β’ Has a technical degree or equivalent work experience in data engineering or related fields.
β’ Possesses strong experience with both relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, Snowflake, MySQL, Hadoop, MongoDB).
β’ Is proficient with data movement and ETL tools, including Datastage and DBT.
β’ Demonstrates excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multiple upstream teams.
β’ Understands data modeling, data mining, and the development of predictive models and custom analytics applications.
β’ Is familiar with back-end programming or architecture using languages like Java or J2EE.
β’ Is detail-oriented and comfortable creating thorough documentation and testing procedures.
