Data Engineer

Payrate: $84.00 - $85.00/hr. Summary: The main function of a data engineer is to ensure that the data assets of an organization are supported by an architecture that supports the organization in achieving its strategic goals. Responsibilities: • Set enterprise standards for databases, data integration, and the means to access the data. • Direct developers and analysts to make changes to existing pipelines, databases, and data processes, including providing direction in coding logical data objects. • Execute investigations and provide analysis to help drive insights in design. • Develop standards and guidelines for data management and integration. • Engage with data engineering teams, service and application teams, and work closely with business/product groups. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in computer programming or a relevant field required. • 10 years of experience required. • Expert knowledge of logical data modeling and physical data modeling. • Expert knowledge of computer software, such as SQL, Snowflake, etc. Desired Skills: • Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills. • Expert ability to work independently and manage one’s time. • Expert leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $84.00 - $85.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
