Role - Data Engineer
Location - London, UK (Hybrid)
Type - Fixed Term Employment (1 Year)
Job Description:
The knowledge, experience, and qualifications you need:
• Strong Snowflake, SQL database, and DBT development skills
• Experience in DevOps, automated deployments, and source control tools (ideally Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy and GIT)
• Performance tuning processes dealing with very large data sets
• Good all-round technical knowledge to help find the best solution to a requirement
• Able to deliver well-structured and tested software
• Working with senior stakeholders and users
• Logical, structured thought processes and good problem-solving
• Relationship management and business engagement
• Ability to create solutions which can be handed over to first level support in the first instance
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help:
• Experience of Financial Services, ideally Wealth and data knowledge
• Development experience using .Net and Azure
• Experience of SSIS, SSRS, Airflow, ADF and Python
• Working knowledge with Agile delivery methodologies
• Able to engage with stakeholders in both Business and Technology
• Multi-disciplined and able to provide support throughout SDLC
• Knowledge of test automation techniques, such as TDD
• Capable of balancing timely delivery against strategic development
• Pro-active and delivery-focused

• A critical thinker who can look at things from different angles
• Great at unpicking a problem from start to end, owning and delivering the solution
