Role description
NO C2C We are looking for a Data Engineer to support our private equity analytics and reporting ecosystem with a focus on the Chronograph platform. This role will design and maintain data pipelines that feed investment performance, fund cash flows, and portfolio company metrics into Chronograph and related systems. You will partner with investment, operations, and investor relations teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and automation of our private equity data infrastructure. Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, clean, and transform data from administrators, GPs, custodians, and internal systems into Chronograph. • Develop integrations between Chronograph, data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, or similar), and BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.). • Automate recurring reporting workflows to improve data accuracy and timeliness. • Collaborate with private equity finance and investment teams to understand fund structures, cash flows, valuations, and performance metrics. • Implement data quality controls, validation checks, and reconciliations to ensure reporting accuracy. • Partner with investor relations to deliver standardized and custom LP reporting through Chronograph. • Contribute to the overall data architecture strategy for private equity analytics, ensuring scalability and adherence to industry standards (e.g., ILPA reporting). Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Finance, or related field. • 3–6 years of experience as a Data Engineer, ideally within private equity, asset management, or financial services. • Strong experience with Chronograph or similar platforms (eFront, iLEVEL, Burgiss, Aladdin, etc.). • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming/scripting language (Python preferred). • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data pipelines (Airflow, DBT, Fivetran, etc.). • Familiarity with private equity performance metrics (IRR, MOIC, DPI, TVPI) and fund structures. • Knowledge of BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) a plus. • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
