Role description
Job Title: Data Engineer – AI Platform Location: 100% Remote Employment Type: W2 Job Summary We are seeking a Data Engineer – AI Platform to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in data engineering, cloud platforms, ETL/ELT development, and AI/ML workflows, with the ability to support enterprise analytics and machine learning initiatives. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and integration workflows. • Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion, transformation, and validation. • Support AI/ML initiatives by developing feature pipelines and model deployment workflows. • Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards are met. • Optimize database performance, data processing, and AI workloads. • Collaborate with data scientists, architects, and business stakeholders. • Participate in Agile development processes and maintain technical documentation. Required Skills: • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, or Software Development. • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Data Modeling. • Experience with ETL/ELT development and data pipeline orchestration. • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts, Feature Stores, MLOps, and Model Deployment. • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms. • Experience with Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Lakehouse Architectures. • Familiarity with Spark, Databricks, Airflow, Kafka, or similar data processing tools. • Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and data integration frameworks. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile methodologies. • Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, observability, and security best practices. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills: • Experience supporting enterprise AI/ML platforms. • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. • Familiarity with modern analytics and business intelligence environments. • Experience with automated testing and monitoring frameworks.
