Job Description
The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Data Analytics team seeks a motivated, tech-savvy Associate Engineer to join our innovative team. This hybrid technical role is perfect for someone eager to bridge the gap between the physical realm of automotive testing and the digital world of big data. You will actively participate in the feedback loop that enhances our ADAS features, including BlueCruise, to deliver exciting experiences to our customers. Engage in hands-on work with development vehicles in Dearborn, validating data collection processes and utilizing cloud-based tools for data analysis. Key Responsibilities
β’ Hands-On Vehicle Testing: Participate in in-vehicle test drives to validate data collection functionality and ensure system triggers operate correctly under real-world driving conditions.
β’ Data Analysis & Quality Assurance: Support deep-dive analysis of collected datasets to verify data accuracy, completeness, and reliability prior to ingestion into cloud platforms.
β’ Data Modeling & Transformation: Develop foundational skills in writing and maintaining data models using SQL and Dataform within the Google BigQuery environment.
β’ Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain automated dashboards that provide visibility into data collection progress, system performance, and overall system health.
β’ End-to-End Pipeline Troubleshooting: Collaborate with senior engineers to diagnose missing, delayed, or corrupted data by tracing issues from vehicle sensors through cloud ingestion layers.
β’ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, testing, and operations teams in the Dearborn area to coordinate vehicle availability, testing schedules, and validation activities.

β’ End-to-End Data Analysis
β’ Hands-on experience working across the full data lifecycle, including ingestion, validation, trend analysis, and performance tracking. Ideal candidates have designed test scenarios, visualized results through automated plots or dashboards, and translated complex datasets into clear technical findings or recommendations.
Preferred Skills
β’ SQL: Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries using joins, aggregations, and subqueries to clean, transform, and structure raw data for downstream analytics and metric generation.
β’ Google BigQuery (GCP): Experience working within the Google Cloud Platform, specifically querying and managing large-scale datasets in BigQuery with an understanding of cost-efficient querying and partitioned data structures.
