Role description
Our Rochester, NY client is looking to hire a Data Engineer to join their team on a contract basis!
This is a fully-remote/full-time/contract position
Hourly range based on experience: $60-$65/HR
Primary Responsibilities:
• Build and configure AWS Glue jobs for data transformation
• Implement Athena views and data catalog configurations
• Create carbon credit eligibility tagging logic
• Develop data validation routines and quality monitoring
• Configure VPC endpoints, security groups, and network controls
• Set up CloudWatch monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Implement AWS Config rules and Security Hub integration
• Execute cross-environment testing and validation
• Develop operational documentation and runbooks
Skills required:
• AWS CDK
• AWS Glue
• AWS Lambda
• AWS Athena
• Fundamental AWS services (ec2/s3/vpc/etc.)
• Fundamental SQL/NoSQL database skills
