Role description
Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Spring, TX that is seeking a Data Engineer. Key Tasks:
β’ Responsible for building and maintaining ingestion
β’ Routinely partners with QA to define testing criteria for data accuracy and proactively updates
β’ Project Management on technical blockers, delivery timelines, and sprint progress without requiring micromanagement
Requirements
β’ 4-5 years of experience
β’ Very Strong Databricks Lakehouse principles and experience
β’ Hands-on Unity Catalog experience
β’ Experience developing Spark Declarative Pipelines (Lakeflow/DLT, autoloader)
β’ Deep experience with DBT model development, conversion, and refactoring
β’ Working knowledge of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
β’ Familiarity with metadata-driven frameworks
β’ Exposure to Power BI and analytics consumption patterns
β’ Exposure to code generation and agentic engineering patterns
β’ Strong pipeline development capabilities
β’ Strong SQL and PySpark development skills
Required Non-Technical Skills Collaboration
β’ Strong partnership mindset
β’ Effective stakeholder engagement
β’ Excellent verbal communication skills
β’ Strong written communication skills
β’ Strong accountability
β’ Takes ownership of assigned deliverables

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
