We are a forward-thinking organization accelerating the development of scalable and standardized data pipelines. We are currently seeking one or more Data Engineers for a 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity to support projects outside our core platform team. This is an exciting role for highly skilled professionals to contribute in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment with minimal onboarding.
Data Engineer Responsibilities
• Rapidly contribute to data engineering initiatives with minimal ramp-up time.
• Build and optimize data pipelines within an established technical vision.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with data architecture standards and project timelines.
• Maintain code quality and system reliability through CI/CD practices and version control.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code principles using Terraform when needed.
Data Engineer Qualifications
• Location: Vienna, VA.
• Work Setup: Hybrid
• Contract Length: 3-month contract-to-hire
Technical Expertise:
• Deep experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), including:
• BigQuery
• Dataflow
• Dataproc
• Airflow/Composer
• Cloud Functions
• Cloud Databases
• API Gateway / Apigee
• Proficient in:
• Python (especially Airflow DAGs and operators)
• SQL
• Git
• CI/CD pipelines
• Working knowledge of Terraform
Ideal Data Engineer Profile
• Independent contributor with strong coding fundamentals.
• Quick learner who can adapt rapidly to evolving requirements.
• Proven ability to align with architecture and delivery goals in a collaborative environment.
