Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer Contractor to support our People Analytics team. The primary responsibilities include developing scalable data pipelines, creating Power BI dashboards, and integrating data from Snowflake and other platforms to advance our analytics strategy. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python, a strong background in cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, and a passion for transforming data into actionable business insights.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python and SQL.
Develop and optimize Power BI dashboards for business stakeholders, ensuring both performance and usability.
Integrate and manage data from Snowflake, including schema design, ingestion, and transformation processes.
Work closely with data analysts, IT teams, and business partners to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
Uphold high standards for data quality, governance, and security across all data pipelines and dashboards.
Automate data workflows and oversee regular data refresh schedules.
Document technical processes and facilitate knowledge sharing with internal teams.
Required Qualifications
At least 2+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
Proficiency in Python for developing pipelines, automation, and data manipulation.
Experience supporting and enhancing data science models as needed.
Strong hands-on expertise with Power BI, including dashboard design and data modeling.
Extensive experience using Snowflake for data warehousing and SQL-based solutions.
Solid understanding of Python, SQL, relational databases, and data modeling best practices.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is advantageous.
Knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience working with HR or workforce analytics data is highly desirable.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with project management tools like Jira.
Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Contract Length: 4 month
Pay Range:
$45/hr.-$55/hr.
