Role description
Overview
We are seeking a Data Engineer with a strong product-oriented mindset and hands-on experience across the Azure data stack, including Microsoft Fabric. This role is ideal for an independent, self-driven engineer who takes ownership of end-to-end data solutions and partners closely with product and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms using Azure services and Microsoft Fabric
β’ Own data products end-to-end, from requirements and design through deployment and optimization
β’ Develop reliable, high-quality datasets to support analytics, reporting, and downstream applications
β’ Collaborate closely with product managers, analysts, and engineers to translate business needs into data solutions
β’ Ensure data reliability, performance, security, and governance across platforms
β’ Identify opportunities to improve data architecture, tooling, and engineering best practices
β’ Operate with a high degree of autonomy, making technical decisions aligned with product goals
Required Qualifications
β’ Experience as a Data Engineer working with the Azure data ecosystem
β’ Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (e.g., Lakehouse, Data Pipelines, Warehouses, or equivalent components)
β’ Strong understanding of modern data architecture patterns (ELT/ETL, lakehouse, streaming, batch processing)
β’ Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver without heavy oversight
β’ Proven experience supporting product-oriented or product-led teams, rather than pure platform or support roles
β’ Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mentality
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience working in agile or product-driven development environments
β’ Familiarity with data modeling, performance tuning, and cost optimization in Azure
β’ Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
What Weβre Looking For
β’ A self-directed engineer who thrives in ambiguous problem spaces
β’ Someone who treats data solutions as products, not just pipelines
β’ A builder who values impact, quality, and long-term maintainability
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $44.87/hour - $70.07/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.

In addition, job duties require access to secure and protected client information technology systems and related data security obligations.
