Role description
Data Engineer Contractor 5 Days Onsite – Pittsburgh, PA / Farmers Branch, TX / Miamisburg, OH / Houston, TX Key Responsibilities β€’ Gather business and technical requirements from multiple lines of business and source systems β€’ Design, develop, and support data integration and database solutions across mortgage and banking platforms β€’ Work closely with QA teams on upfront testing and deployment validation activities β€’ Coordinate with ETL and downstream technical teams to define data movement specifications β€’ Support deployment activities into QA and Production environments β€’ Ensure deployment documentation, validation, and operational processes are accurate and complete β€’ Participate in data normalization, analysis, and process improvement initiatives β€’ Support regulatory reporting and enterprise data aggregation efforts Required Skills β€’ Strong hands-on experience with SQL β€’ Experience with SQL Server β€’ Experience with Oracle β€’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills β€’ Strong stakeholder interaction and requirement gathering experience β€’ Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively Nice to Have β€’ Performance tuning or debugging experience β€’ Banking or financial services domain experience β€’ Experience supporting ETL/data movement processes Soft Skills β€’ Strong communication and presentation skills β€’ Self-driven and proactive mindset β€’ Strong organizational and prioritization abilities β€’ Ability to work effectively with business and technical stakeholders Environment / Team β€’ Team consists of Data Engineers and Quality Engineers β€’ Heavy interaction with business users and technical teams β€’ Focused on Home Lending Technology and Mortgage Data Platforms β€’ Agile, collaborative, and fast-paced environment Education β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred #M1 #DI-CB2 #L1 - KB1 Ref: #404-IT Pittsburgh
