Role description
Role: Date Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC (In-person interview required) Contract: 12+ months Need Data Engineer for a leading analytics and technology solutions organization specializing in data analytics, business intelligence, and digital transformation services. Seeking strong hands-on development and coding experience in Python, SQL, and PySpark, along with expertise in ETL, DevOps, Azure, Power BI, Snowflake, Synapse, dbt, and Apache Airflow. Please note that there will be a live coding test during the interview to assess hands-on programming and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain scalable ELT pipelines and data workflows 1. Design and implement data models and warehouse structures 1. Build full stack data applications and backend services 1. Develop Snowflake-based data solutions within cloud environments 1. Write high-quality Python and SQL code 1. Implement automated testing frameworks 1. Develop reusable data engineering frameworks 1. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub 1. Create reporting and visualization solutions (e.g., Power BI) 1. Monitor and resolve production issues ensuring data reliability 1. Experience with automated testing and framework development Key Competencies • Dagster orchestration 1. dbt transformations 1. Gurobi optimization solver 1. Elementary data validation 1. Retool development 1. GoAnywhere MFT 1. Power BI and DAX 1. Azure services (ADF, Synapse, Key Vault) 1. Snowflake ML/AI or R 1. SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS 1. Financial services domain experience 1.
