Job Description:
Seeking a highly technical Data Engineer with a software engineering foundation who can bridge business needs and analytics solutions, helping modernize data platforms, improve reporting capabilities, and deliver scalable data products.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
β’ Partner directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions
β’ Build and maintain analytics, reporting, and visualization capabilities
β’ Develop data transformation and modeling solutions using SQL and Python
β’ Modernize analytics infrastructure and data tooling
β’ Create scalable, repeatable analytical products and processes
β’ Troubleshoot data issues and improve data quality
β’ Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business teams
β’ Support new initiatives, business launches, and evolving reporting requirements
β’ Contribute to data architecture enhancements and integration efforts
β’ Build APIs and support integration patterns where needed
Minimum Requirements:
β’ 3-7Β years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or related technical roles
β’ Background in software engineering with progression into analytics and data-focused work
β’ Advanced SQL skills
β’ Strong Python development experience
β’ Hands-on experience with Snowflake
β’ Experience with data visualization and BI tools
β’ Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
β’ Understanding of modern data architecture concepts
β’ Experience modernizing analytics environments and tooling
β’ Ability to build API endpoints and understand integration patterns
β’ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
β’ Comfortable working independently in an end-to-end delivery environment
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience within hedge funds, asset management, or financial services
β’ Multi-asset investing domain knowledge
β’ Experience with Tableau or similar BI platforms
β’ Exposure to CI/CD practices and modern software development workflows
β’ Experience mentoring junior team members
