Title – Data Engineer / DataStage Engineer
Location: UK Remote
Type of job: 6+ Months contract
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing & maintaining DataStage pipelines, utilising their expertise in data integration & manipulation, to transform data from the source to the target model.
Service: Hybrid Cloud & Data
Service area: Big Data Services
Your Roles & Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, & maintain DataStage pipelines to support the project.
• Apply your knowledge of MOSAIC, IBM 10 step Data Migration Methodologies to ensure efficient data migration processes.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand requirements & deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Utilise key technologies such as DataStage, XML, XSLT, & Jira for effective project management & issue tracking.
Required skills:
• Proven experience in DataStage Designer.
• Familiarity with MOSAIC, IBM 10step Data Migration Methodologies or equivalent data migration methodologies.
• Strong proficiency in XML & XSLT for data transformation tasks.
• Proficient use of Jira for project management & issue tracking.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• A proactive approach to problemsolving & a commitment to continuous learning & improvement
• Ability to test the solution and run jobs
