Position Overview
"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking Data Engineer for an exciting job in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica to ingest and transform data from multiple source systems into Snowflake.
Implement and enforce data privacy and security standards (HIPAA, HITECH, organizational policies).
Build and optimize data models, schemas, and views in Snowflake to support analytics and business intelligence.
Support interoperability initiatives using healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, and X12 EDI.
Develop data ingestion, transformation, and data quality processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve pipeline performance and scalability.
Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for data flows, metadata, and transformation logic.
Support data security, access controls, and governance efforts across data platforms.
Participate in testing, deployment, and release management activities for enhancements and new workflows.
Required Qualifications
3–5+ years of experience in data engineering or ETL development.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Snowflake Cloud Data Platform (SQL development, data modeling)
Informatica PowerCenter or IICS for ETL/ELT development
Proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, XML, CSV).
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including cloud storage services (e.g., S3, Blob Storage).
Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality principles.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Python for scripting or automation.
Exposure to Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) or Data Catalog tools.
Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Health Informatics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Snowflake or Informatica certifications are a plus.
