Position Summary
As a Data Engineer, you will collaborate with data modelers, business analysts, architects, and DevSecOps teams to create and operationalize data pipelines, optimize batch and streaming workflows, and build scalable backend systems supporting high-impact healthcare initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and implement scalable and stable ETL/ELT processes using technologies like Python, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and Unix shell scripting.
• Build, test, and monitor data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, validation, and orchestration.
• Optimize performance of API connections and SQL queries for batch and streaming workflows.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to define data integration strategies and ensure alignment with requirements.
• Work on both pre-pay systems (Oracle, SQL, Unix, Control-M) and post-pay systems (data transfers with vendors and internal reporting).
• Maintain and improve backend systems, including:
• Vended system policy edits/exclusions
• Self-service capabilities
• Claim status integration with Splunk
• Batch process stabilization
• End-to-end data flow enhancements
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, weekly performance reviews, and cross-functional collaboration meetings.
• Manage project documentation for design changes, integration points, and team coordination.
