Akkodis is seeking Data System Controls Engineer in Lynn, MA 01905 Job Title: Data System Controls Engineer Location: Lynn, MA 01905 Pay Range: $38/hr - 45/hr (The pay range may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors) Shifts: 1st and 2nd Duration : 12 Months Contract To Hire Job Description: Essential Responsibilities • Execute the set-up of engine test facility data acquisition systems • Develop data acquisition configuration files used for development and production engine tests • Set up and provide test critical operational support of dynamic data acquisition systems for production and development testing • Monitor dynamic data quality during engine testing. This includes recognizing incorrect data, troubleshooting to resolve data and hardware issues, and interfacing with Engineering customers. • Collaborate with stakeholders in and outside of the PV team on data acquisition requirements definition and resolution of open issues for unique data delivery requests in development tests • Create working documents and instructions to be used by digital/electro/mechanical technicians. This documentation includes instrumentation application/test cell connection procedures and wiring diagrams. • Provide recurring support for data systems used in production engine tests • Give oversight to instrumentation and data systems calibration efforts • Drive initiatives to minimize risk of failures at test through data monitoring tools used by the test conductors • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments Desired Characteristics • Experience or familiarity with programming languages such as Python, SQL, and XML • Experience or familiarity with documentation control such as Tortoise SVN • Ability to learn customized data acquisition systems • Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills • Ability to work independently • Strong problem-solving skills Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, an EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan.
