Job Title: Data Engineer Location-Type: 100% Remote Start Date Is: ASAP (mid-Feb) Duration: 1+ year contract, potential to extend Compensation Range: $60-65/hr Job Description: Seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to support and optimize the client's data infrastructure, pipelines, and modeling with a focus on automation and scalability. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: • Maintain and optimize existing Python/SQL data workflows • Build custom pipelines for new data sources • Translate existing model code into dbt for visibility and maintainability • Recommend and implement architectural best practices • Partner on roadmap for potential internally managed data warehouse • Ensure ongoing monitoring, performance tuning, and documentation Requirements: Must-Haves: • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer • Proficiency in Python and SQL • Experience building datasets for BI tools • Strong experience with automated/semi-automated ETL workflows • Ability to build APIs and pipelines for custom data sources • Experience with dbt or equivalent modeling tools • Omnichannel retail/beauty ecommerce data experience • Excellent communication; independent, proactive work style Nice-to-Haves: • Experience with Google Cloud Run and Selenium-like tools • Familiarity with AWS Redshift and Glew.io Benefits: • This role is eligible to enroll in both Mondo's health insurance plan and retirement plan.
