Data Engineer

Position: Data Engineer Compensation: $80 - $100 /hour, depending on experience Location: Houston, Texas Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Data Engineer to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic data platform team, where you'll collaborate with senior developers to build and manage platforms that support critical applications. You'll be responsible for designing and optimizing data systems, ensuring seamless data flow, and contributing to the success of innovative projects. Key Responsibilities & Duties: • Design and implement time-series databases for high-ingestion workloads • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries • Manage ETL/ELT pipelines for data processing • Ensure scalability and performance of data platforms • Monitor and maintain data platform infrastructure • Collaborate with application teams to meet data requirements • Implement storage architecture and partitioning strategies • Design REST or gRPC APIs for data ingestion • Utilize cloud platforms for data solutions Required Qualifications & Experience: • Proficiency in SQL and time-series databases • Experience with stream processing tools like Kafka or Spark Streaming • Strong skills in Python, Go, or Java • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure Nice to Have Skills & Experience: • Experience in Oil & Gas or Industrial Automation • Familiarity with SCADA systems • Understanding of industrial communication protocols Perks & Benefits: • 3 different medical health insurance plans, dental, and vision insurance • Voluntary and Long-term disability insurance • Paid time off, 401k, and holiday pay • Weekly direct deposit or pay card deposit Other Information: • Interview process includes a technical assessment and onsite interview • 100% onsite work environment • Immediate start date preferred If you are interested in learning more about the Data Engineer opportunity, please submit your resume for consideration.
