Role description
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience on Data Modeling activities w.r.t large transformation initiatives and expertise in relational & No-SQL DBs and experience in data warehouse, data lake, and AWS cloud data platforms -Strong experience with multiple full lifecycle software development processes, approaches and methods (SCRUM & RUP)
- 6+ years demonstrable work experience using data modeling tools such as Erwin, Toad or ER/Studio.
- Good communication skills
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Added advantage if airline domain knowledge is present
Job Description:
- Create and maintain conceptual, logical and physical database models.
- Document functional requirements and system specifications into the data architecture and detailed design specifications for current and proposed designs.
-Hands-on experience on Data Modeling activities w.r.t large transformation initiatives and expertise in relational & No-SQL DBs and experience in data warehouse, data lake, and AWS cloud data platforms
- Document and adhere to Data modeling standards and best practices in database designs.
- Maintain highly effective and consistent communication within the team, peers, and the leadership team.
- Reverse engineer SQL code and modify it to solve problems/issues.
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of data governance practices.
- Evaluate new and existing (internal and external) technologies and services in support of data services and data analytics objectives Skills and attributes for success.
- Understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts, business systems development and analysis -An understanding of Agile methodologies e.g. Scrum, Kanban, defining user stories etc.
