Role description
Only W2 Contract, no Visa sponsorship, must be hybrid in Montvale, NJ Job Description: Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and implement database solutions that meet business requirements and ensure data integrity. • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into efficient database structures and queries. • Develop and optimize database schemas, tables, and indexes to improve system performance and scalability. • Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures to extract, manipulate, and analyze data. • Perform data modeling and database design to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of information. • Collaborate with software developers to integrate database systems with applications and ensure seamless data flow. • Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with data privacy regulations. • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks, data inconsistencies, and system errors. • Conduct regular database performance tuning and optimization to improve query response times and overall system efficiency. • Document database design, development processes, and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing. • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Proven work experience as a Database Developer or in a similar role. • Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) and related tools. • Proficiency in SQL programming and query optimization. • Experience with database design and data modeling concepts. • Familiarity with database security and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). • Understanding of software development methodologies and principles.
