Job Title: Senior Data Engineer
Location: Merrimack, NH OR Durham, NC
Work Mode: Hybrid (Onsite every alternate week Monday to Friday)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

• Must be open to alternate week onsite (5 days/week onsite every other week)
• Only local or nearby candidates preferred (no relocation)

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join Fidelity s Asset Management Technology (AMT) team. This role focuses on building scalable, high-performance data solutions supporting investment management platforms, including mutual funds and ETFs.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL scripting, ETL processes, and modern data warehousing technologies, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Development
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data solutions
• Build high-quality, efficient, and reliable data processing systems
• Develop and optimize Oracle PL/SQL code and SQL scripts
ETL & Data Warehousing
• Work with ETL tools like Informatica
• Develop and manage data workflows in Snowflake Data Warehouse
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency
Data Modeling & Analysis
• Design data models using:
• Transactional systems
• Data marts
• Enterprise data warehouses
• Perform quantitative and multidimensional data analysis
• Identify data gaps, patterns, and optimization opportunities
Performance Optimization
• Tune database performance and optimize queries
• Improve data processing efficiency and scalability
Cloud & Modernization
• Work with cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
• Support modernization initiatives using:
• APIs
• Java-based applications
DevOps & Agile Practices
• Follow CI/CD processes using:
• Git
• Jenkins
• Maven
• Docker
• Participate in Agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Experience
Required Qualifications
• Strong experience as a Data Engineer in financial services domain
• Proven experience building enterprise-scale data engineering solutions
Technical Skills
• Expertise in:
• Oracle PL/SQL
• SQL scripting
• Database performance tuning
• Strong knowledge of:
• ETL tools (Informatica)
• Data warehousing (Snowflake)
• Strong data modeling experience
• Understanding of:
