Role description
Responsibilities Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ seeking a Data Engineer to join a growing analytics and technology team. This role will focus on designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. Summary: The ideal candidate is experienced in working with large datasets, enjoys building data systems from the ground up, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This individual will partner closely with software engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing data solutions. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines and architectures β€’ Develop and optimize processes for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL/ELT) data from a variety of structured and unstructured data sources β€’ Assemble and manage large datasets that meet business, analytical, and performance requirements β€’ Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reliability, and efficiency through automation and process enhancements β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support analytics, reporting, and data science initiatives β€’ Ensure data security, governance, and compliance best practices are followed β€’ Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline and performance issues β€’ Support production data environments and participate in on-call or operational support rotations as needed β€’ Contribute to documentation, best practices, and continuous improvement efforts Requirements β€’ 2+ years of experience in a Data Engineer or similar role β€’ Strong experience with SQL and relational database technologies β€’ Hands-on experience with data warehousing and ETL/ELT development β€’ Experience working with large-scale datasets (terabyte-level preferred) β€’ Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern data architectures β€’ Experience with both relational and NoSQL database technologies β€’ Working knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) β€’ Ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and provide scalable solutions The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
