Data Engineer

Our financial regulatory client’s Knowledge Graph team is looking for an experienced Graph Data Developer to join their team developing the next generation of graph-driven data solutions. Their products connect the people, places, and things enabling pattern detection, self-exploration, and machine learning applications. The right candidate thrives in a team-based environment focused on value and outcomes. Required Skills • 3-5 years of experience with Scala, Python, or Java development (OOP and scripting) • 3 or more years of experience performing data analysis tasks in big data, graph, business intelligence, or similar environments • 2 or more years of experience in AWS • Demonstrated strong skills in SQL • Experience with large-scale data processing engines (Spark, Presto, or equivalent) • Naturally inquisitive and enjoys exploring data and business outcomes • Knowledge of AI assisted coding, testing and debugging Nice to Have • 1 or more years of experience in Neo4j (big plus) • Financial industry experience • Experience in machine learning environments Typical Job Activities • Data analytics and processing in Spark • Data profiling new data sources • Design and support of graph architecture • Identification of patterns in data • Engage with upstream and downstream engineering partners in value pipeline improvements • Agile ceremonies and team engagement Location: Hybrid out of Tyson or Rockville office.
