Role description
Adaptive Solutions Group is currently looking for a Data Engineer II.
Responsibilities:
• Support the development and maintenance of data engineering processes and contribute to enterprise-level data warehouse initiatives.
• Collaborate with team members, analysts, project managers, and internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions.
• Follow best practices and strategic direction provided by lead data engineers and architects.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and data quality standards throughout development processes.
• Support Agile development methodologies, with a preference for experience in SAFe environments.
• Apply intermediate ANSI SQL skills within data platforms such as Snowflake and SQL Server.
• Exhibit openness to learning modern tools including Python and Git, as well as legacy technologies such as SSIS and SQL Server Agent.
• Document technical procedures to ensure accuracy and maintainability of data solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet at least two of the following criteria:
• Bachelor’s degree (Preferred fields: Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technical/engineering disciplines)
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Systems or a related field
• Possession of five or more approved certifications in the data or technology domain
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with any of the following platforms or tools:
• Databases: Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL
• Data Integration: Qlik Replicate/Compose, SSIS, Informatica
• Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS, GCS
• Business Intelligence: Power BI, Tableau, SSRS
• Master Data Management: Microsoft Master Data Services, Alation
Additional preferred skills:
• Proficiency in database architecture and ANSI SQL
• Understanding of cloud-based data solutions
• Eagerness to learn new tools and stay current with evolving technology
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Effective prioritization and time management
• Ability to build and maintain professional, cooperative relationships
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality
