Role description
About the Role:
We are looking for a Level III Data Engineer to support data initiatives by building modern, scalable data solutions. This position requires onsite work in Charlotte, NC or Newport Beach, CA. It is a long-term W2 contract with strong potential for full-time conversion.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Partner with architects, analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver secure, high-quality data solutions.
β’ Design and build scalable data pipelines for batch and streaming ingestion using cloud technologies.
β’ Develop low-level design artifacts, including data mappings.
β’ Implement data transformations, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
β’ Participate in code reviews and ensure engineering standards and best practices.
β’ Deploy, monitor, and maintain production systems using Agile methodologies.
Required Experience
β’ 5+ years of experience in data analysis, design, development, and delivery.
β’ 5+ years of experience in SQL, ETL/ELT, cloud data warehouses, and data management tools.
β’ 2+ years of DevOps and CI/CD experience.
β’ 1+ year of hands-on experience with Git and Python.
β’ Knowledge of data engineering best practices and integration patterns.
β’ Experience working in Agile teams with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and orchestration.
β’ AWS experience.
β’ Automation, scripting, and testing in data environments.
β’ Knowledge of data governance, data quality, catalogs, and glossaries.
β’ Experience with complex data systems and Master/Reference Data Management.
Education:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
