Role description
Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Data Engineer III with our large power and utilities client in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay: $65.00 - $75.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Description:
Candidates should have hands-on experience engineering end-to-end data products—designing and building scalable data pipelines and curated datasets using Python and Spark, and provisioning/deploying the supporting cloud infrastructure with Terraform on AWS. They should also bring strong leadership skills to drive technical direction, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and raise engineering standards through mentoring and best practices.
Building data products using the following technology stack for a portfolio health assessment dashboard that will be visualized in PowerBi.
Must haves:
• Python, SQL, Pandas, Pyspark, Lambda, Redshift, Glue, Data Modeling, experience building data ingestion pipelines, ability to analyze and extract insights from data
Nice to haves:
• PowerBI (really a plus; especially building dashboards), Github Actions, Terraform
Additional optional requirements would be:
• Ability to assist in developing/design of PowerBI dashboards
• Understanding of Quick Site
