We are seeking Data Engineers to work on a team at our client site in Newport Beach, CA. The role is hybrid, with two days per week being worked onsite. The position will go to 4 days onsite in the fall of 2025.
JOB DESCRIPTION
β’ Partnering with data architects, analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions in an effective manner.
β’ Build scalable & reliable solutions with robust security, quality, performance and governance protocols
β’ Deliver solutions aligned with modern target state architecture and cloud-based technologies
β’ Create and maintain high-level and detailed design artifacts that support data engineering solutions
β’ Lead creation and maintenance of automated and scalable test, build and deploy workflows aligned with modern CI/CD practices
β’ Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and agile methodologies.
β’ Lead code reviews to ensure data engineering standards and best practices are followed
β’ Demonstrate adaptability, initiative and attention to detail through deliverables and ways of working
The experience you bring:
β’ Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, analytics or related field.
β’ 8+ years of experience in analysis, design, development, and delivery of data
β’ 8+ years of experience and proficiency in SQL, ETL, ELT, leading cloud data warehouse technologies, and data management tools
β’ Understanding data engineering best practices and data integration patterns
β’ 4+ years of experience with DevOps and CI/CD
β’ 1+ years of experience (not just POC) in using Git and Python
β’ Experience in agile methodologies.
β’ Effective communication & facilitation; both verbal and written
β’ Team-Oriented: Collaborating effectively with team and stakeholders
β’ Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with ability to break down complex data solutions

β’ 2+ years of experience in Snowflake, Data Build Tool (DBT), Matillion
β’ Experience with automation, optimization and innovation in data management and batch cycle environments
β’ Understanding of data catalogs, glossary, data quality, and effective data governance
β’ Financial services domain knowledge
β’ Data driven individual with ability to set up effective processes in your sphere of ownership
β’ Strong communication with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
β’ Experience delivering Finance domain data engineering solutions
β’ Experience with Control M orchestration tool
