Data Engineer

Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Engineer in Smithfield, RI. Duties: • Exploring new technology products and using them to help our business needs • Working on teams to improve efficiency • Delivering system automation Requirements • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required with 10+ years of experience • 1+ years of Python development • Advanced SQL/SnowSQL knowledge and experience working with snowflake database • Good experience in working with AWS (Batch, S3) • Hands-on experience on SQL query optimization and tuning to improve performance is desirable • Experience in job scheduling tools (Control M preferred) • Proven data analysis skills • Strong data modeling skills doing either Dimensional or Data Vault models • Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Maven, Jenkins, Stash, Ansible, Docker) • Experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban and SCRUM) is a plus • Proven track record to handle ambiguity and work in fast paced environment • Good interpersonal skills to work with multiple teams in the organization • Passion and intellectually curiosity to learn new technologies and business areas • Good to have - Working experience with some or all of the following: AWS, Containerization, associated build and deployment CI/CD pipelines, Lambda development The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
