Pay Range: $65 - $75/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
• Designs and builds data pipelines and platforms, leveraging cloud technologies like AWS, and works with programming languages such as Python.
• Key responsibilities include developing robust cloud-based solutions, ensuring data quality and performance, and collaborating with Agile teams to implement data-driven features for millions of customers.
• Experience with big data tools like Spark, as well as a strong software engineering mindset for building scalable, resilient systems.
• Design and build:
• Create and maintain data architecture and infrastructure for large-scale data platforms.
• Develop and implement:
• Write, test, and deploy code for data pipelines, using Python.
• Collaborate:
• Work with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders in Agile teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Performance and quality:
• Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of data systems, which may handle tens of thousands of transactions per second.
• Stay current:
• Stay current with new technologies and share your knowledge with the engineering community.
• Technical expertise:
• Act as an authority on specific technologies, platforms, or domains, and mentor junior engineers
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
• Key Skills; Python, AWS, Spark
• Programming:
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Big Data:
• Experience with technologies such as Spark.
• Cloud:
• Strong experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (including services like Lambda, Glue, EC2).
• Data Architecture:
• Experience in designing and building scalable, resilient big data solutions.
• Machine Learning:
• A general understanding of machine learning principles and experience deploying models is often a plus.
• Education:
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree is often required, along with several years of experience in data engineering.
