Role description
Senior Data Engineer
As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll get the opportunity to develop your skills and collaborate across Fidelity teams in a lively and dynamic environment. You will work to build secure, scalable solutions for operational, reporting, and analytical data needs. You will be responsible for data analysis, modelling, loading and transformation. You will maintain a next generation reporting application and help in the migration of the application to cloud.
The Team
Fidelity's Workplace Investing Reporting and Analytics chapter is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to play a key role in maintaining a Reporting application in OAS and PowerBI with Informatica for ETL and facilitating the migration to Cloud (Snowflake and AWS).
The team deals with data acquisition in Oracle Exadata, through ETL and enhancing the reporting application.
Team is also responsible to move the entire application to AWS Cloud / Snowflake. Part of this migration includes migration from OAS to a new compatible tool such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
This person will work with technical partners, and assist developers and testers as needed. The role demands significant collaboration with members of various business and IT groups throughout the lifecycle of a typical project. The Expertise You Have
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / similar technical subject area and 8+ years relevant experience
· Extensive experience in Data engineering, Data Modeling and Data analysis
· Extensive experience in Oracle/ PL-SQL and Informatica
· Extensive Experience in Administering OBIEE, OAS
· Experience in reporting tools such as Tableau, PowerBI
· Extensive experience in Linux/Unix platform
· Experience in Python, Java, and C
· Extensive experience in working in a data warehouse environment
· Experience in delivering DaaS (Data as a Service)
· Experience in AWS, Snowflake, Airflow is preferred
