Job Title: Data Engineer (Mid/Senior IC) – Big Data & Analytics
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire
Overview
Seeking hands-on mid to senior Data Engineers (ICs) to support a Big Data & Analytics team. This role will focus on building and maintaining data pipelines, supporting migration efforts into a modern cloud data platform (AWS/Snowflake), and enabling scalable data products for analytics and AI use cases.
Key Responsibilities
• Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines (ETL/ELT) in AWS/Snowflake environments
• Support migration of data assets and applications into a centralized data platform
• Develop and manage data transformations using Python, SQL, and DBT
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across pipelines
• Collaborate with data platform, analytics, and business teams to deliver usable data products
• Troubleshoot pipeline issues and support ongoing platform operations
Required Skills
• 3–8+ years of experience in data engineering (mid/senior IC level)
• Strong AWS experience (S3, Lambda, Glue, etc.)
• Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse experience
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data modeling
• Ability to work independently and execute with minimal oversight
Preferred
• DBT experience
• Exposure to AI/ML or data platforms supporting analytics/AI use cases
• Experience in large-scale data migration or modernization efforts
