Rate: $45/hr on W2
Local to Cincinnati Ohio
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong ETL and Azure integration experience to join our Enterprise Retail Solutions team. You will play a pivotal role in integrating complex data flows from multiple boundary systems into core retail systems, such as Oracle RMS and other merchandising platforms. This includes designing robust data pipelines, managing large-scale data movement, and ensuring high data quality across the retail ecosystem.
This role requires a deep understanding of ETL concepts, Azure data technologies, and CI/CD practices to deliver scalable and reliable integration solutions aligned with enterprise data strategy.
Required Qualifications
β’ 6+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on ETL implementation and system integration.
β’ Expertise in Informatica, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks for building and orchestrating data pipelines.
β’ Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
β’ Experience working with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and SQL Hyperscale.
β’ Proven track record of implementing CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.
β’ Solid understanding of data modeling, integration design, and canonical modeling concepts.
β’ Familiarity with enterprise retail systems, especially merchandising or supply chain data flows.
β’ Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in high-throughput data environments.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with Oracle Retail Management Suite (RMS) or similar ERP systems.
β’ Familiarity with Unity Catalog, Purview, or other data governance tools.
β’ Exposure to Agile/SCRUM or SAFe methodologies in large enterprise programs.
β’ Knowledge of message-based integration patterns and APIs (REST/SOAP).
β’ Experience documenting and presenting architecture diagrams and interface specs.

β’ Drive the development and communication of enterprise standards for data domains and data solutions, focusing on simplified integration and streamlined operational and analytical uses
