W2 Only Position- Senior Data Engineer, Local Location- Plano, TX Visa- USC, GC Type- W2///Hybrid Summary The Senior Data Engineer will support Marketing Strategy & Analytics Enablement organization by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that enable marketing analytics and business intelligence initiatives. This individual will leverage DBT, Snowflake, and advanced SQL to build and optimize data models and ELT pipelines while partnering with analytics, business, and technology teams to deliver trusted, analytics-ready datasets. The ideal candidate is a hands-on data engineer who is experienced building production dbt models, developing scalable Snowflake solutions, and transforming complex data into actionable business insights. Top Skills (In Order of Importance) • DBT (Data Build Tool) – 3+ years building production data models • Snowflake – Advanced experience developing and optimizing data solutions • Data Modeling – Dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas • Advanced SQL • Python • ELT/Data Pipeline Development • Jira & Confluence Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable dbt models supporting Marketing Strategy & Analytics initiatives. • Build and optimize data pipelines within Snowflake to support reporting, analytics, and downstream business applications. • Develop reusable, high-quality data models that improve accessibility and consistency across analytics teams. • Write efficient, maintainable SQL to transform and optimize large datasets. • Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions. • Implement data quality checks and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability. • Optimize Snowflake performance, storage, and query efficiency. • Participate in Agile ceremonies utilizing Jira and Confluence. • Document technical solutions, data lineage, and engineering best practices. • Support continuous improvement of data engineering standards and development processes. Required Qualifications • 5–7 years of Data Engineering experience. • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) in production environments. • Strong experience developing solutions within Snowflake. • Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills. • Experience developing ELT pipelines and transforming large datasets. • Experience with dimensional data modeling and building analytics-ready datasets. • Proficiency with Python for data engineering and automation tasks. • Experience using Git/version control. • Experience working within Agile environments using Jira and Confluence. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting Marketing Analytics, Customer Analytics, or Enterprise Analytics organizations. • Experience with Microsoft cloud technologies (Azure) or similar cloud platforms. • Experience optimizing Snowflake performance and cost. • Familiarity with CI/CD deployment practices. • Experience working with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI. • Financial services or insurance industry experience is a plus.
