Job#: 3034341 Job Description: Client: Financial Services Team: TBA Job Title: Software Engineer 4 / Data Engineer Location: Charlotte NC Contract Length: 24mo Pay Rate: $69 - $74 Top Requirements: • Strong Data Engineering experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and database technologies • Experience developing ETL pipelines and working with big data frameworks (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop) • Proficiency in Python or Java for data processing and pipeline development Plusses: • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) • Familiarity with Parquet files and S3-based data storage • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases • Experience with performance tuning and automation • Exposure to Artificial Intelligence and data-driven solutions Job Summary: In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes • Write and optimize SQL/PLSQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analytics • Develop data processing solutions using Python or Java • Work with structured and unstructured data (including Parquet files and S3 storage) • Build and maintain integrations across relational and NoSQL databases • Utilize big data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, or Hadoop for data processing • Perform performance tuning and automation of data workflows and reporting processes • Collaborate within Agile teams (backlog grooming, sprint planning, stand-ups) • Support data-driven initiatives, including AI-related use cases • Partner with cross-functional teams to design scalable and reliable data solutions • Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance across systems EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
