Data Engineer – Python & AI/ML Platforms Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 2 days onsite) Duration: 12+ Months (High possibility of extension) Rate: $50/hr C2C Interview Process β€’ Round 1: Virtual technical panel (hands-on coding – video + screen share required) β€’ Round 2: In-person technical/Hiring Manager round Visa: USC/GC/H1B only (No OPT/CPT) Role Overview Santcore is is seeking a strong Data Engineer/Software Developer with Python and AI/ML platform experience to support advanced data science and machine learning initiatives of client. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and data-driven solutions that enable predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and enhanced business decision-making. This role requires hands-on expertise in Python, AI/ML frameworks, NLP/LLM technologies, and strong collaboration with engineering and business teams. Key Responsibilities β€’ Design and conduct experiments to validate hypotheses and optimize ML model performance β€’ Develop and deploy machine learning and predictive analytics solutions β€’ Implement clustering, classification, regression, and advanced ML algorithms β€’ Perform feature engineering, model selection, and hyperparameter tuning β€’ Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights β€’ Apply data mining and statistical techniques on structured and unstructured data β€’ Build and optimize NLP, LLM, and GenAI-based solutions β€’ Evaluate model performance using accuracy, precision, recall, and other metrics β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, and business stakeholders) β€’ Support deployment, monitoring, and optimization of ML models in production Must-Have Skills β€’ Strong Python development experience β€’ Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms and frameworks β€’ TensorFlow and/or PyTorch β€’ NLP (Natural Language Processing) β€’ LLM and Generative AI experience β€’ Experience building and deploying predictive models β€’ Strong understanding of data modeling and analytics Preferred / Nice-to-Have β€’ Experience with NoSQL databases β€’ Kafka or streaming data platforms β€’ Experience working in enterprise-scale data environments β€’ Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, CIS, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) Ideal Candidate Profile β€’ Strong software engineering + machine learning background β€’ Hands-on coding expertise in Python β€’ Experience with enterprise AI/ML implementations β€’ Comfortable working in hybrid onsite/offshore collaborative environments β€’ Strong communication and problem-solving skills
