Role description
Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a position with a client located in Los Angeles, Ca. Pay/Salary Range: $60/hr - $68/hr Analytics Engineer This Analytics Engineer role operates at the intersection of data engineering, business intelligence, and applied AI. The position is responsible for delivering accurate, governed, and scalable data solutions that support strategic and operational decision-making across the organization. Data Architecture & DataMart Development • Design and maintain analytic-ready datasets to support reporting and advanced analytics • Lead development of enterprise DataMarts (e.g., ODAG, Timeliness, Risk Adjustment) • Ensure alignment with standardized business definitions and CMS-driven logic • Partner with Managed Care, Finance, and Operations to gather, stabilize, and operationalize requirements Data Pipeline & Data Lake Enablement • Build and optimize data pipelines using Databricks and enterprise data platforms • Integrate data from multiple sources, including Epic Clarity, Tapestry, claims systems, and external vendors • Support transformation and validation of large-scale datasets (e.g., HEDIS, CMS files, lab data) • Automate data workflows to reduce manual effort and increase reliability Business Intelligence & Visualization • Develop and maintain Tableau and Power BI dashboards aligned with DSS standards • Enable self-service analytics by publishing curated datasets instead of one-off reports AI & Advanced Analytics Enablement • Use Python for data transformation, automation, and advanced analytics workflows • Integrate LLM-based capabilities for summarization, classification, and insight generation (e.g., call center analytics, CRM insights) • Partner in the development of AI-driven data products that enhance operational decision-making • Support the transition toward fully automated pipelines and AI-enriched datasets Requirements • 5–8+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering within healthcare, managed care, or Epic-based environments • Proven experience designing analytic-ready datasets and enterprise DataMarts for reporting and operational analytics • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Azure Data Lake, or Snowflake • Strong SQL skills with demonstrated experience optimizing transformations across large, complex datasets • Experience building dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI • Proficiency using Python for data processing, automation, and analytics workflows • Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, and validation • Exposure to AI/ML or LLM-based use cases such as data summarization, classification, or insight generation • Experience working with healthcare data domains, including claims, enrollment, provider data, or EHRs (Epic Clarity preferred) • Experience supporting regulatory and audit-driven reporting (e.g., CMS, HEDIS, Medicare Advantage) If you are interested in this role then please click APPLY NOW.
