Data Engineer - OBIEE

With the vision of FIP as the Enterprise Investment platform it is critical to migrate FMDB and dependent applications to cloud through rewrite and application modernization. This request is to supplement the team with a Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL Developer with cloud knowledge. Job Title: Senior Data Engineer Looking for a candidate with hands-on experience and expertise on Oracle Database, SQL , PL/SQL , Informatica Power Center (ETL) tools with knowledge on Azure cloud and background in reporting specifically PowerBI and OBIEE. The Purpose of This Role Workplace Investing (WI) technology team is seeking highly motivated, passionate Lead Software Engineer with strong understanding of programming fundamentals and software design. In this role you will be responsible for development and maintenance of applications, production support & incident management of critical platforms. As a lead, you will be part of a dynamic team with an opportunity to partner closely with the business and technology teams across the shores and will be a key enabler in creation/adoption of the technology. The Value You Deliver As a Senior data engineer, you will be responsible for- • Responsible for migrating existing reports to a new platform. • Actively participate in release planning, daily stand up as well as working & helping team with tactical activities like PL/SQL, ETL Development, maintenance, code review, performance tuning, bug fix, troubleshooting production incidents, design optimization etc. • Recommending and following the best engineering practices. • Building quality solutions that align with the technology blueprint and best practices to solve business problems by driving design, development, and ongoing support. Skills The Skills that are Key to this role • Strong in Oracle and postgress database Concepts. • Hands-on Development in SQL / PL SQL which includes performance tuning, writing packages, stored procedures, troubleshooting skills etc. • Hands on experience developing complex reports in PowerBI and OAS. • Should have some exposure to Data modeling so that they can contribute in terms of redesigning of database objects, especially during performance issues. • Hands-on Development experience in Informatica PowerCenter. • Exposure to Control M, Source Tree • Having knowledge in cloud concepts (Aws/Azure), snowflake, data lake is preferred. The Skills that are Good to Have for this role • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. • Good Email Communication and handshake/Status call etiquettes. • Having knowledge in cloud concepts, snowflake, data lake is preferred. • Creative, energetic, assertive hands-on professional who enjoys the challenge of change. • Exposure to Finance and Market is preferred. • Strong written and oral communication skills along with a good attention to detail. • Ability to perform independent technical analysis on complex projects. • High level of commitment, initiative, vision, and enthusiasm.
