Job Summary
The Data Engineer position at Caterpillar provides capacity planning support for Caterpillar facilities worldwide. Primary responsibilities include gathering capacity data, executing statistical analysis of product demand, and providing insights into current state capabilities and future needs. Responsibilities
• Create statistical component demand models
• Complete analysis of facility manufacturing capabilities
• Effectively communicate with clients, team members, and process partners
• Investigate and provide insights into capacity solutions
• Perform maintenance of existing statistical models
• Lead moderately complex process improvement projects
• Maintain schedules on SharePoint sites
• Input data into ECR-S Tools
• Maintain and coordinate ECR-S Results
• Execute ECR-S and SCOPE Process
Years of Experience and Education
• 0–2 years of experience required. A relevant degree or certification is expected.
