Data Engineer

Weβre seeking a talented Data Engineer to be a vital part of our dynamic team, developing scalable, reliable, and automated ETL/ELT solutions that power our organizationβs data-driven decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge data ecosystems, contributing to impactful projects on a fully remote basis.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
β’ Proven expertise in designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes (preferably using IBM DataStage, SQL, SAS, Python, or transitioning to Python, DBT, SQL, Power BI).
β’ Solid experience with CI/CD practices; version control with GitHub.
β’ Proficiency with Visual Studio Code for development and debugging workflows.
β’ Hands-on experience working with Snowflake for scalable data warehousing.
β’ Ability to translate business requirements into data models, including star and snowflake schemas.
β’ Experience in developing BI dashboards (IBM Cognos and Power BI preferred).
β’ Strong mentoring skills for guiding team members.
β’ Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
β’ Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
β’ Prior experience supporting reporting applications and troubleshooting technical issues.
Nice to Have:
β’ Experience with property and casualty insurance.
β’ Familiarity with data quality scorecards and data lineage.
β’ Experience working within agile teams.
